Email Set Up
Follow the Step-by-step procedure to set-up your e-mail through Outlook Express. There are numerous settings that really come down to personal preference and tweaking, but we can show you how to set the program up to send and receive mail.
New Account: MS Outlook Express 6.x Mail Configuration
1. Open Outlook Express and on the menu bar click on "Tools".
2. Next, click on "Accounts"
3. To create a new e-mail account in Outlook Express, click on "Add" then "Mail". The next window will be the e-mail wizard. This wizard will assist you in creating a new e-mail account.
4. The first step is to type in your name as you want it to appear on your outgoing e-mail's.

5. Next: Enter the e-mail address you created with your ISP.

6. Next: Enter your mail server names: they should be pop.yourdomain.net for POP3 Server and smtp.yourdomain.net for SMTP Server.

7. Next: Enter your account name and password that you created. Remember that the format for your username is the whole e-mail address (username@yourdomain.net)

8. Next: Choose the connection type to the Internet. If you are using a modem, choose the phone line option. If you are connected to a network, choose the LAN option. If you want to connect manually each time, choose the last option.

9. Final Step. Click on "Finish" and you are done. On the next screen click on "close" and then check for new mail.
Already have an account
1. First click on Tools, then Accounts
2. Next click on the Mail tab. If you don't have an existing e-mail account, simply click on the Add button then choose Mail. Then follow the set-up wizard.

3. If you already have an existing e-mail account, highlight it then click Properties on the right side. You will see this screen:

4. You will have to enter your information in this box and then click on the Servers tab and you will see this:

5. On this section, simply replace the word yourdomain.net with the domain name you have, and for your account name, enter your whole e-mail address (username@yourdomain.net). Next click on the Connection tab and you will see this:

6. The connection option allows you to select which type of connection you would like to use.
7. After this, press "OK" and you are ready to use Outlook Express.
